Subject: Visit of the little girls
Miss Mary Anne,
I hope all is well with you, your husband, and your wonderful horses. I would be remiss if I did not express my deepest gratitude and thanks for the extraordinary way in which you received us at your ranch this past week.
The girls were thrilled, and Kyri is even using your business card with the horse picture for show and tell at school. It seems that even though they live in Texas, many of the little children are not really exposed to horses other than passing them on the highway. I think that is sad, a little ironic, and makes our visit even more special, if not down right magical for both Remi and Kyri.
For me, it is so wonderful to think we may have begun a friendship. The possibility of being involved with our neighbors and making friends was extremely high on our priority list. Your kindness and disposition has gone a long way towards confirming our decision to move to Texas, and helped begin the erasure of what is wrong with Long Island society.
I am especially indebted for the way you made my Susan feel.
My wife is an extraordinary person, imbued with great courage, compassion, love, and knowledge. Not many would pick up at our age and begin again away from what they know. In my mind, it is almost epic this move of ours. Her happiness is my greatest concern, and you and your horses have given her more than a modicum of happiness and pleasure.
Please feel free to visit or call upon us anytime we can be of assistance to you.
From the bottom of my heart, Thank you.
Sincerely,
Charles Morris-Jackson
