Dillon's Madame is an elegant and very
beautiful mare. She is 5 years
old, black and white, about 15
hands and a daughter of Dillon's Outlaw
who is by Marshall Dillon. Her
barn name is Lola. She is
registered TWHBEA and her papers say
tobiano but her markings are different
than our other tobianos. Where
most tobianos have very distinct black
and white spots, Lola looks like a
water coloring painting, with the black
and white melting into each other.
Her black spots have white roaning in
them and she has one blue eye, a white
blaze and a white forelock. I
think she is a sabino or has a sabino
gene. More importantly, she is a
gift from God and without a doubt He
wanted this mare to be here at Faithwalk
Farm.
He cares about the smallest details of
our lives. He also has a
great sense of humor.

Within a few weeks of this website getting up
and running, I received an e-mail
from a lady in Nebraska telling me about
her mare and that the state was putting
a highway and bridge thru her property.
She explained that she had fought for
three years to stop it, but was not able
to. She was heartsick that she had
to sell her much loved mare. So
instead of immediately selling her, she
started researching
and praying about finding the perfect
home for Lola. She could not bear
the thought that someone might mistreat
this lovely, gentle mare. Her
daughter came across an advertisement
with Dillon's picture in it and showed
it to her mom, saying that the stallion
looked a lot like Lola. They found
our website and decided that
Faithwalk Farm was the perfect home
for Lola. She e-mailed me and I e-mailed
back asking for a phone number so that
we could talk personally.

I really was not looking for another
mare at this
time. I had just sold Paint Me Ebony
and was still getting over that shock. We
talked and e-mailed, exchanged pictures,
got vet checked, all the stuff you
do when a horse you are interested in is
out of state.

The mare checked out
and all looked to be in order. We
made arrangements to go pick her
up. Long story made short, I still
had my doubts until she got off
the trailer. She is beautiful and
gentle. Her markings are so
unusual, that she stands out in the
field, drawing attention to just
how feminine and fine she is. She
is peaceful, calm and easy to be
around, it is like she has lived here
her whole life.

The humorous part is her name, Dillon's
Madame. The person who named
her that name at the time of her
registration, had no idea the significance it would come to play in
her life. Or that God would
use it, down the road, to let me know He
has a hand in everything and to
never doubt His goodness. Because
we have a small operation, I spend
a lot of time with each horse and get to
know their personality. I have to
say that our Dillon Paints the Town is
quite smitten with Dillon's
Madame. Just like people, horses
are attracted to certain other
horses and definitely have likes and
dislikes. Lola is in the
stall next to his and she is in the
pasture across the driveway from
him. I'm not saying that horses
experience emotional love like
people but I will say that Dillon has
been very happy and content that
Lola is here. My old stallion Top
Gun had his favorite mare, Coffee
Berry and they produced the finest
babies of any other that he was
paired with.
We are very happy that our mare, Dillon's Madame, is safe in foal to
Dillon for a June, 2008 foal.
This should be a fabulous filly or colt with 2 lines of the pedigree
going to Marshall Dillon, which means 2 lines going to Wonder Liz,
the dam of Marshall Dillon. Two beautiful parents with excellent
conformation, personalities and gait should produce an outstanding
foal! I cannot wait to see what God has designed for us.

5 yr. old, 15
hand black and white daughter of Dillon's
Outlaw,
safe in foal for a June, 2008 baby by
Dillon Paints The
Town.
Beautiful mare, one of the prettiest
heads you will see on a Walking Horse,
this would be a great addition to
anyone's broodmare herd. DNA already
processed.

Congratulations to David and Katy Hubbard of Southern Cross Ranch in
Kerens, TX on their selection of Dillon's Madam safe in foal for a
March, 2010 foal. David and Katy are beginning a Tennessee Walking
Horse breeding program and we look forward to next year's foal crop!
