DILLON PAINTS THE TOWN is a 15.2 hand, black
tobiano stallion and the direct son of
the late Marshall Dillon. He is very
naturally gaited in keg shoes, very easy
going, with an outstanding disposition.
On Christmas Eve, 2004, I lost a high-headed fire
breather of a stallion to a
broken leg. He was awesome. I've
laughingly said that Dillon was
my rebound relationship, but I
have come to realize what a
great horse he is. The Lord
giveth and the Lord taketh away,
.and I think He gave me this
horse for my old age.
We were fortunate enough to purchase Dillon
Paints the Town KD in 2005. He is a black tobiano, and a direct son of the
late, great Marshall Dillon.
We made the decision not to show him even
though we feel he is definitely show quality. This decision may change in
the future with the development of the
NWHA and more sound horse shows in
our area.

This is my
grandson, Keiran, in our front yard on
Dillon. This is a very gentle stallion.
The late
Marshall Dillon
was considered one of the premier
spotted Tennessee Walking horses, known
to produce a true walking gait.
Dillon Paints the Town has the gait, the
conformation, the color and the
disposition to carry on the Marshall
Dillon legacy. He is one of
the rare black tobianos out of his
legendary sire.

Dillon was bred and raised by the
man who owned Marshall Dillon for almost
his whole life. Dillon Paints the Town
was his personal riding horse and
considered by him to be one of the
finest that Marshall Dillon ever
produced. He was bought directly from KD
Stables and brought to Texas in 2005.
He is the only black and white, direct
son of Marshall Dillon standing at stud
in Texas at this time.
Enjoyed
and loved by his present owner, he has
been trail ridden all over Texas and is
a pleasure to ride wherever he goes. He
has a wonderful walking gait in
keg shoes, and a true rocking-chair
canter. His pedigree contains the true
foundation walking horses, who were
known for their natural smooth gait,
tracing back to Nell Overstreet
herself, through Paint's Moon Man,
and his sire, the unforgettable
Paint The Town.
